Following completion of a Board-approved Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP), a CNA Applicant must pass a Board-approved CNA knowledge Exam to be registered as a CNA

The Applicant, with the assistance of the NATP Program Director or Instructor, must register to sit for the online CNA Knowledge Exam through SDHCA

Upon passing the CNA Knowledge Exam with a minimumm score of 75%, the Applicant will be listed by the Board as a registered CNA Verify Registration

If an applicant fails the exam, an Applicant may retake the exam two times; the Applicant should review learning materials, then the NATP Instructor may assist the Applicant to register to retake the exam from SDHCA
