Lapsed or Inactive Registration

A CNA who's registration has lapsed, or who does not have the required number of employment hours or continuing education, must complete the Lapsed Reinstatement Application, allow 5 business days for the Board to review the application.

A lapsed CNA applicant who meets the required employment hours and continuing education will be reinstated to an active CNA registry status.

A CNA applicant who does not have the required continuing education and employment hours must retake and pass the CNA knowledge exam and a skills evaluation. The Board will send an email to the CNA with instructions on how to sign up to take the CNA knowledge exam. Upon passing the exam and after the Board receives the four Skills Evaluation Checklist forms, the Board will reinstate the CNA's registry status to active.
