Clinical Enrichment Programs
Clinical Enrichment Programs (CEP) allow nursing students the opportunity to continue learning the practice of nursing - outside of their formal nursing education program. Approved CEPs pair a student with an experienced preceptor who is required to supervise the student in the clinical experience.
A South Dakota healthcare facility that wishes to have a CEP must be pre-approved by the Board prior to initiating a program and hiring nursing students. Email the Board at SDBON@state.sd.us for more information.
