Scam Alert!

Nurses have received calls from persons claiming to be from the Board. Scammers use spoofed telephone numbers appearing to originate from the SDBON office. The scammer may be hostile and tell you that a specific action is needed to prevent your nursing license from becoming suspended, such as to send money. Be wary of these calls!

Do not provide personal information to anyone you do not know or trust!

If you receive a suspicious call, call the Board office directly, 605-362-2760

Report it to the Attorney General's Division of Consumer Protection: 1-800-300-1986.

Nurses have received emails adverting Board approved educational offerings and continuing education (CEUs). Be advised, the Board does not approve CEUs. Report it to the Consumer Protection office: 1-800-300-1986.
